The year is coming to an end and if you still don't know where to ring in the new year, here are some of the most spectacular places in Europe to say goodbye to the Old Year and ring in the New Year.

Edinburgh in Scotland

Around the world, the 3-day festival begins on December 30 with the dramatic Torchlight Procession and culminates with the world's largest performance of Auld Lang Syne, a Scottish heritage song. On New Year's Eve, people flock to the iconic Edinburgh Castle and when the clock strikes midnight they enjoy spectacular fireworks displays. After the New Year, they start the new year with another tradition known as ?Loony Dook?, which is about taking a dip in the icy waters of the Fjord of Forth in South Queensferry.

Berlin, Germany


Although it's cold season in Berlin, Germany puts on a festive display for visitors on vacation. On the last night of the year, more than a million people from all corners of the world come to enjoy the atmosphere electrifying of the Brandenburg Gate, where one of Europe's biggest New Year's Eve street parties takes place. Some in between the Brandenburg Gate and the Victory Column, the festival area is packed with live music stages and party tents, as well as a variety of food and drink stalls serving delicacies from around the world. You can be part of a fireworks show that starts at midnight, but the fun lasts until the early hours of the morning with live DJs and impressive laser and light shows.

London, England

New Year's Eve in London is full of parties and lights, you can't miss the lights along the Thames. From monologues and themed events to gala dinners and opulent burlesque performances, there's nothing you can't find in the English capital. The New Year's Eve fireworks in London are incredible, plus you can go to a bar and have a great time. You also can't miss the extravagant New Year's Day parade, a colorful mix of dancers, acrobats, musicians and performers marching through central London (from Piccadilly to Parliament Square) on January 1.
